So in consideration of the fact that Luther is an overly curious rabbit who loves exploring and also currently has a weepy eye I rearranged my weekly purchases and just did a massive order at VetnPet. They had the perfect harness on clearance and I wasn't sure if it would still be there in a few weeks and the Terramycin ointment is marginally cheaper online, (though still expensive, one wonders if it's made of gold).
So the whole order was about $190 but it should be pretty much last for ever I hope, and is filled with all the necessary bits and bobs for successful cavy and rabbit keeping.
The complete list is
Lupine Lead Small Pet 1/2" Royal Gold - 4 foot
Lupine H-Style Harness Cats/Sml Dogs 1/2" Royal Gold 9"-14"
2 x Nutrigel 50g
Quit-Itch Lotion 250mL
Debrisol 125ml
Calcium Sandoz Syrup 200ml
Divetelact Low Lactose Milk Replacer 375g
Jorvet Mothering Kit
2 x Wombaroo Latex Teats C
Wombaroo 120ml Feeding Bottle
Kramar Detangling Comb with Rotating Pins
Stay Away Bitter Tasting Chew Deterrent
Scalpel Handle No. 4
Scalpel Blades Size 20 10's
Terramycin Pink Eye Powder 50g
Aristopet Laxative and Hairball Remover 100g
The harness, leash and laxative are of course for Sir Luther, the rest for the cavies to be. The majority is for the first aid kit as well.
Sir Luther is going well. He's claimed the lounge and spends most of the day sprawled out on it. Occasionally hopping down when he feels we aren't watching and exploring the extremely-unbunnyproofed house. So far he's been very well behaved and just examines everything minutely. The minute he realizes we're watching him he races back and bounds onto the lounge. I cannot believe the height he can get, he can easily clear three feet.
